Aphasia is a language disorder caused by damage to the brain's language areas, most often after a stroke. It affects speaking, understanding, reading and writing, while intelligence remains intact.

We assess comprehension, expression, naming, repetition, reading and writing, then plan therapy around everyday communication needs, including word-finding strategies, comprehension work, alternative communication and family training.
