An articulation disorder means speech sounds are produced incorrectly, left out or replaced with other sounds, for example saying "tun" for "sun" or being unable to produce the r sound.

Signs to watch for

• Sounds still unclear after age 4
• Lisping on s, z, sh and ch
• Difficulty with the r sound after age 6
• Adults whose speech errors affect work or social life

Our approach

We identify which sounds are affected and in which word positions, check oral motor skills, then teach each sound step by step from isolation to conversation using mirror work, visual and tactile cues and home practice.
